All five of your Model 64s are new entries in the survey… Thanks!!
I do have one follow-up question for s/n 1139284… does it have a flat (uncrowned) muzzle or is it crowned?

I put them back in the safe…. I’ll wrangle some more stuff out this weekend and take a look.😂

OnlineThanks, George. Went safe-diving today to answer a question and as luck would have it, the safe was nearly empty when I reached the gun I was wanting to look at. Maybe with the long weekend we will hear about more adventures in members’ safes.

I mean, I need to get the folding table out myself and probably wipe down all the ones in the back for sure. It’s a pain to unload that section of the safe where they stack in and block each row behind the next!
I’ve started alternating rows in my safes….
1 row barrel up, next row barrel down. I have two 32 gun safes side by side, and each one has probably 40 guns in it…… I need to sell a few. I really like looking at pics of other people’s stuff, maybe we should continue with the “What’s in your safe” format. I always wondered what the collections of some of the veterans here look like. I’m sure my meager collection pales in comparison to some of those….

That is Blasphemy! What you really need to do is buy a third gun safe!!

OfflineMy Lord! You definitely tortured me with the Pic of them 71’s. But these Mid 64’s drove the stake through my heart!
All I can say is my honest feelings. Dam a Safe, get em in woods one at a time, others hanging around the walls to be seen! Thats living, no fear! When its all said n done, you can’t take em with you!

A recent remodel has made room for an additional safe but it won’t be necessary as I’ve managed to thin the herd a bit. Every time I dig thru the safe I find something I want to shoot so I won’t be needing anything new and interesting to shoot any time soon. This past week a Winder Musket caught my eye! Problem is all my interesting guns are in a chest style safe in thick gun socks. Recon can be a chore. Some of our members have given up on safes and choose to display a portion of their collection. I enjoy keeping four or five on display just because.
I like George’s idea. I closed an article awhile back with “What’s in your gun safe?” and got a few interesting responses. Hard to beat a nice collection of 71’s or 64’s but that’s not the point. A sentimental favorite works for me.
