I’m thankful there’s a Buy it Now option so no one can steal this one away from me with a ridiculous bid! Thanks for the link.
Save your money, that one is not worth a penny over $44,500.
Unbelievable.

The gun vise looks familiar, reminds me of a gun shop where I used to spend quite a bit of time. I mounted quite a few scopes in that vise before he got a better one (Tipton) but I always liked that old vise. As for the gun I have no idea, maybe I was distracted by the vise because I must be missing something here.

Uggghh !! My eyes, my eyes, they are bleeding !!! Good God man, why on earth would you post pictures of dare I say it… a Marlin ! You have committed total sacrilege, and I am highly offended by your blatant lack or moral fortitude !!

C’mon Bert. I had a Marlin once and it was probably the highest condition gun I ever had. And if you remember you helped me get a bolt assemble online so I could use the firing pin. But that one was broke too. Finally Denny Hanel told me to just buy a brand new firing pin and it worked. I eventually traded that gun to Walt for cash and a very fancy COLT pistol. I sold the Colt to help buy a 1873 after Walt passed away.
Oh, that Marlin was the only 30 WCF I have ever owned.
I don’t own a single Marlin and drive a Ram Megacab diesel. Do I get bonus points?

I actually have a few (relatively) modern Marlins and even an early TD 1894 Marlin in 32WCF. Rumor has it there could be a pretty sweet Savage 99 stashed around here but you know how people talk. And yes, I’ve even posted pictures of an 1874 C. Sharps hereabouts. I probably have a few post-64 Wannabe Winchesters and an FN Supergrade for my more serious hunting endeavors. I won’t admit to having an MSR but concede one could come in handy for social purposes.
What do you expect from a guy that drives a Ford?

Hello my name is Vince, and I own Marlin.
It’s a model 600 and as accurate as any other semi-automatic .22 I own.

Well… OK! Me too! Arising to admit… My gun collecting… “Impure… In thoughts & actions!” And not just de facto… “With intent… And loving it!” Over half century, seldom, “focused targeting”. Rather, ‘random’! Whatever brand, model, style, type, etc.; such garnering my “Leering, gawking drooling” attention!
All guns… “Targets of opportunity” ; “specializing in generalization”! The never satiated effect of: “So many guns, so little time.” Inherent inhibition, only “so little” context as funds, ‘bugger detail’ of victories denied!
I ever embrace “equal opportunity”! From famous makers & pristine products to such “say what” as Bubba-craft era products. Stuff which perhaps only “certain discriminating, visionary collectors” as I :), ‘to appreciate’! Embracing ‘the spectrum’. (Awaiting ‘the day’ as “gun Bubba-Art”, eventually the counter-culture ‘in-thing’ & I; more likely my heirs, with the market cornered… Astoot investment, turned Astute!
Be it Wonderful Winchesters, Marvelous Marlins, Sumptuous Savages, Strangely… Stevens? Levers equally gaining leverage in heart & wallet! Gun safe ‘open door policy’; welcoming all! And now… Looking back over half century-plus panorama of “seek & buy”! Achieving happy “diversity”; the blondes, brunettes, redheads, ‘twenty-something to ‘mature’… of my own collection… My steel encased – chastity insured, ‘Harem’ & loving ‘em all! Finding ‘virtue’ in the many!
So! There you have it. My name is John and I’m.. A Polygamous Gunophile; aka collector with perversion. Salaciously enjoying… With intent! 🙂 🙂 🙂
And as closing here Burt; conjuring something of which you and I share appreciation. “Young Frankenstein”! Final scene, final moments! As Dr “Frankensteen” (Sic) gets the girl… ‘literally.’ Music as fading away… “Oh sweet mystery of life at last I’ve found you…”
🙂 🙂 🙂
Best to all & Stay Safe!
John
