I had some general questions I was hoping someone could answer, perhaps Bert as it seems he is the expert on these models. I could not figure out how to attach photos below as both my attempts at uploading them to imgur and from my computer have failed. I included the links below hoping that would suffice. Thank you.

When was it made? (I used this website’s calculator and it stated 1949, but I just wanted to double check) [SN: 1624343]

What approximate condition is it in?

What approximate monetary value does it have?

The serial number on your Model 94 does confirm that it was manufactured in the year 1949 (latter half of that year).

Which specific caliber is it?

Thanks for the reply, Bert. I am trying to help my grandfather  and I am not too informed in this matter, but it is a Model 94 32 Winchester Special If that is not what you were looking for I apologize I am not currently with my grandfather nor the item to get any further details. Would it still be possible to get an estimated range on the value regardless of knowing the caliber based on the condition seen in the photos above? Thanks again.

Neil,

Your grandfather’s Model 94 Carbine has an approximate value of $700 in a direct sale to an interested buyer.  Gun shops and dealers are going to offer you several hundred less.
