OfflineThey are a beautiful pair !!
But out of curiosity, I have a question on the engraving technique, it doesn’t seem to me they were individually engraved by chisel, it looks more like a very nice etching by acid. After all they produced 1,000 pairs of these. Does anyone know ?
Thank you.

I agree she will know for sure. I would offer Winchester used Receiver Stamps for many of their rifles. I actually own a set that did both sides of the Canadian Pacific Centennial. Regardless, the Matched Set of 1000 is still amazing to look at!

Yes: you are right. I spoke to Pauline and she said they were acid etched, they etched 1000 pairs. They did a great job, but not chiseled. I like them just the same. I bought them because Ibthink they are beautifully done, not because of who or how they were engraved. I learn who and how after I bought them. I would buy them again given what I know now.Much better then looking at a bank statement! Cheers!
