Hi every body

Just came across model 94 Legandry Lawmen 30-30, with serial #

LL1XXXX(111XXXX).with some rust on the buttstock plate and underneath the lever handle.

What year is it manufactured, and should I attempt to clean it and remove  the rust. The owner said it hasn’t been used for more than 30 years.

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks

Sam

Sam,

Unfortunately in its present condition, it has very little value. I would definitely clean it and remove the rust.

Thank you all.

I thought the serial no. indicates it was manufactured in 1937 !!!

Any reason why ?

Completely different serial no. range for these commemoratives.

(My favorite commemorative:  Con Memorativo.)

Don’t know what you paid for it, but I wouldn’t be too discouraged.  It should make a great shooter.

Got to be worth more than current production ’94s with their stupid safeties.

It was actually made in 1978 and that antiqued silver finish was not a great finish . Without the box and paperwork , and a bit of rust, like was said not much collector value and a 1978 Winchester is not a prime shooter either. You could find some commemorative “Legendary Lawman” ammo for it , that’d be kinda cool, and if You look around there are folks who have boxes and sleeves for them albeit it would not have the matching ser# as originals do. Good luck

Sam, just to remind you… any Winchester with a serial number that starts with a letter is post 1968.
