Were sights, levers, hammers, and barrel bands nickeled on verified nickeled 94 carbines?

I believe this is the 94 in question. It is on a facebook group and the owner states ”1937 model 94 factory nickel plated .32 Winchester special”.

I highly doubt his statement about it being factory work. FB_IMG_1673741753806.jpgImage Enlarger

I also highly doubt it.  The butt stock on that Carbine has been harshly sanded and refinished.  The odds of a late pre-WW II (Depression era) standard Carbine being factory nickeled plated are very high against it.

I agree. I also have to question the rear sight being nickled. Was this a thing? Ever seen this Bert? He says it’s factory because Glen Simpson says so. Any idea who Glen Simpson is?

I have no idea who Glen Simpson is.

The only time I have seen sights nickel plated is on arms made for presentation purposes or “parade” arms.
