I also highly doubt it. The butt stock on that Carbine has been harshly sanded and refinished. The odds of a late pre-WW II (Depression era) standard Carbine being factory nickeled plated are very high against it.

I agree. I also have to question the rear sight being nickled. Was this a thing? Ever seen this Bert? He says it’s factory because Glen Simpson says so. Any idea who Glen Simpson is?
