So has the new NFA ruling on SBR exempt all trapper model’s from the BATF regarding firearms under 16 inches and would the BATF exemption be required to purchase a SBR trapper acquired before the recent NFA ruling? 
  

Pat,

At this time, there is No possible way to predict what the full impact of that ruling will be.   However, the ruling does appear to make it a strong possibility that getting a BATF clearance letter for a SBR or SBS will become a thing of the past.  For now, I strongly advise keeping any BATF clearance letters you have, and definitely hold off on sending any new requests to the BATF.
