Octagon 21 1/2″ barrel from threaded end.  Markings “Winchester’s Repeating Arms New Haven Conn. U.S.A.” “-Kings Improvement Patented March 29, 1866. October 16, 1860-”  38 W.C.F.  VP in oval, G, 23.  1873 barrel or?

Hello Jim,

Yes, it is a Model 1873 barrel (and apparently it has been chopped by a few inches).
