There are four magazines with articles by Tommy Rholes that come up in my search (Spring and Fall 2000, Winter 2004, Fall 2005).  However, none of them are specifically on 1894s.  It may be mentioned in one of the other articles but I haven’t looked.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Turns out I was right.  Sold for ten grand, which was the high estimate.  Plus of course the juice, sales tax and so on.
