While adding a few of my 94’s to Berts survey, I noticed this marking just in front of the trigger on one of my 94’s.  I haven’t noticed it before, and don’t remember seeing it on my other 94’s.  It is a takedown rifle in the 930,000 range. My carbine in the same serial range does not have it.  What does it represent, and is it on all rifles and I just never noticed before?

That is a typical inspector’s stamp. I have seen at least a few dozen different markings in the exact same location on Model 1894/94, 55, and 64 rifles and carbines.
