Hello
I have a question about value. Here is a nice older model 94, The collector value is gone because the wood has been refinished poorly. The seller is asking $1200 for the rifle. Before I jump into this rabbit hole. What is a fair value of this 94. I am thinking about have a new butt stock and forearm made for this rifle. Is it worth fooling around with this rifle. My gut tells me pass on this rifle, however with some new wood it would make a fine shooter which I would never recover the money spent making the rifle look as it should. Any thoughts?
Thank You In Advance

Agreed. A better rifle will come along.

The end of last year, I purchased a 1943 Flatband 94 in exceptional condition 30WCF for $750. I would suggest to keep looking there are some fine specimens out there. Make sure that you are on your local and state forums that have Market posts from locals. That is how I found mine. Took about a year to come across but well worth it.

Just as an FYI, there were no Model 94s manufactured from August 24th, 1942, through September 24th, 1945. Production of the Model 94 Flat Band Carbines began in July of 1946 and ran through December 1948.
