OnlineI hadn’t spotted this one until it sold today. Interesting. Desirable. However I will confess I’d rather have a M55 in .38-55. Not that I don’t like this rifle. Anyway, the description says the 1938 Winchester Salesman pamphlet states the .38-55 was available in the M64. I never knew that. What are the chances this one is original?

Based on the pictures provide in the auction listing, I added it to the Model 64 research survey as a “most likely original” rifle. The only way to know for sure would require a hands on detailed inspection (involving some disassembly).
