At one time I had a deluxe rifle in each of the model 94 calibers and as I have downsized over the last few years I have now whittled it down to one – the rifle I have kept is my favorite configuration and caliber – full octagon, full magazine, pistol grip, rifle butt in 32-40. I thought I would share a few photos of this old gun with others that share the passion. I often wondered how I would feel when I got to this point and I have to say I am happy with my choice, not to just thin the herd but with the gun I decided to keep. I sleep good knowing I was a thoughtful and considerate caretaker of these wonderful old guns and hopefully passed them down to others that will do the same.

Great choice. That’s a beautiful example of a Model 1894.
My small collection centers around Model 1894s with half octagon barrels. I am looking to get all calibers and also with take down.
