Can anyone tell me what year Serial No. 0828 was made? Value?

Hello Gene,

Winchester Model 1873 serial numbers never used a leading “0” digit.

Gene,

Send me a picture to the below email address of the gun and the serial number. My guess is the gun is worn and you lost the leading number(s) before the 0828 or it my of been restamped. From a picture of the gun I can tell what era the gun was made.

1.  Right Side Carrier Spring 

2.  Complete screw kit

3.  Rear sight
