I have a model ’94 with a set trigger and when you pull the hammer all the way back , set the trigger , and fire , the hammer only falls to the 1/2 cock position. It doesn’t fall all the way to the firing pin. The hammer spring feels to me like it is stout enough. Any ideas ? Thanks , Ken

On a set trigger at least a single set trigger there is a little pivoting piece on the hammer called the fly. It there to carry the sear over the half cock when the set trigger is used. My guess is the fly is missing or has a problem. The sear is being kicked of the hammer notch but falls into the half cock.
Here is a link to a set trigger article.

Ken,
I assume it would have to use a fly.
