I was looking at a very fancy Marlin M1893 .32 Special (of course!) and wondered what a similarly equipped Winchester M1894, from the same time frame, would bring.  We’re talking high condition combined with some beautiful features such as elaborate engraving, checkering, matted barrel and on and on.  What would this rifle be worth of it were a Winchester ’94 rather than a Marlin ’93?  Anyone else willing to admit they like this rifle Embarassed

I like it. I don’t own a Marlin but would be happy to own this one. I have no idea on price. I like his 38-55 1894 SRC too!

I like the cat too! Laugh

WHO would not???  A masterpiece!  Looks like “Sp Smokeless Steel” is actually engraved, not applied with a die.  Unusual checkering, but I like it.

I think it’s stunning, but believe a factory produced and lettered Winchester 1894 of similar condition and embellishments would bring substantially more.

I’m not a “Marlin guy” but couldn’t pass this one up – my only Marlin special order 1889 in 32/20 made in 1891:

Like the configuration of yours better–the PG & half-mag.  But I’d like both of them better with a SB!

If it was a Winchester Model 1894, it would easily bring 2X the $$$$$

I was thinking much more since the receiver is engraved and case-colored.
