Here are the barrel markings on my 92.  The auction house said it was mail order so that’s all I know.  I’m assuming 22 is the barrel date?IMG_1435.jpegImage Enlarger

The circle P means it was an outside purchase barrel.

Yes, the “22” is the barrel date.  The (P) on the top of the barrel is the Mail Order proof marking.  It appears that somebody (not Winchester) tried to add the “(WP) proof mark after the fact.

What is the serial number of your SRC?  I would like to add it into my survey of the 1892’s?

I do believe that also the “OF” mark on the bottom of the barrel stands for “Outside Fitted.” In addition to the obvious P in a circle mark on the barrel.

Sincerely,

Maverick
