As promised here is a pic. of an 1876 Winchester Sporting rifle. Caliber 45/75wcf.28″obfm. The old rifle is a very late third model circa 1889. It is fitted with a Winchester mid range tang sight . This old rifle does not get to set around ,as I am a hunter and it is a Sporting rifle. Next wk. it will be chasing Desert Mule deer in West Tx. the load will be soft lead 350gr. cast from an original mould , lube is deer tallow and bees wax over 76.6 gr. Swiss 2ff bp. Std. Winchester primer in a Jamison case . All assembled with the original tong tool.  In the past this old combo has dropped deer on the spot. I am sure it still will. ,,,,,,,,DThttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b519/TheDustyTexian/IMG_078476original_zps6ce7eb05.jpgImage Enlarger

I love the look of that rifle. Keep the 76 stories coming, I really enjoy them. I hope to get some pics on here once I get my 76 shooting in 40-60WCF. Still waiting for brass ,ordered back in summer, very frustrating .

n 1876 in 45-60 Made 1886. VG bore and great shooter . For the case  being a 45-70 with only about .200 reduction in length. It is much more pleasant to shoot than any Reduced 45-70 load ive found yet

While I couldnt post any pics of this directly from my computer I posted on another site , and selected ‘copy image’ and then pasted them here, bypassing this sites uploading system. So hope it works in  this convoluted attempt
