I can’t say I have any experience with these. Seems a very rare opportunity. Probably go over a half million? Who else has come across one of these during the course of time? Other reactions? I will say, I like it 🙂

Could be interesting, Steve. I think the sale price will say as much about the high end of the collector market as it does about this rifle. Rumor has it that sector has been a bit weak so somebody could get a bargain. OTOH most auction houses feel the market is strong but that’s exactly what I would want to hear if I were a consignor.

Specifically regarding the rifle itself, I think it is a very nice beautiful piece. Looks great and a correct gun. I don’t see anything wrong with the couple of spots that were touched up regarding the pitting. I wouldn’t won’t rust to continue eating away at such a rifle.
As far as what it’ll bring, I imagine we could pull a number out of a hat and come close, but imagine it’ll be up there in price. I don’t exactly agree with the gentleman’s statements regarding guns being cut and refinished, I think that is true for most production guns, but I don’t think that is the case with most 1of1000s. Just my humble opinions.
Sincerely,
Maverick
