Ok here i go. I am hoping this works. This is obviously an 1886. I am hoping to get some opinions on it. It’s a 45-90 round barrel.IMG_1115.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_1135.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_1134.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_1133.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_1132.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_1131.jpgImage Enlarger

Looks like a nice gun that has aged some.  It is common for the case coloring to start to fade and get the grey.  The wood looks nice too.

Tom,

You are quite welcome, and great to see you have it all figured out.

Looks like a very nice ’86, with a lot of condition.  In a couple of the photos, it looks like the wood may have been cleaned and possibly sanded.  In another photo you can clearly see that at one time it had a tang sight.

When looking at the picture of the upper tang from the side the wood is lower than the metal. T/R

Posted these before and was hoping to get some ideas as to what it’s value is?

I’d be looking to put out about $5000.00 +/- for an ’86 like that in that condition

I compared this to my 86 which was made a year earlier. The bluing on the hammer, lever. and trigger struck me as too blue on a gun that age (made in 1894). Also look at the buggered hammer screw and the buggered forestock cap screw. I’m a little bit leery. Don

Thanks Henry, appreciate the response. Don the “bluing you described is case color, just very dark purple/blue. Sorry I don’t profess to be a professional photographer. But thanks for the in put.
