Hi,

Trying to find out as much info as possible about a rifle my Dad left to me right before he died.  He died just a couple weeks ago and now things have settled down a bit id like to find out any history on this rifle if at all possible, maybe when it was purchased, from where, maybe what state etc..?  I have the serial number and pictures, its a 1894 30 30.  Mint condition.

Thanks in advance,

Tommy

tommy,

First off, Welcome, and Sorry for you’re loss.

If you post you’re serial number on the Forum here, Bert will be along and help you out with as much information that he can give you. As a member, you can also move you’re mouse to the top of the page, and click on Resources and you’ll see the fourth topic down, “When was your Winchester made”? It’s another great resource provided for us members here on the Forum, by some very good administrators. In doing this, still post you’re serial number here, as Bert will want it for his Survey, as members are constantly trying to improve information and facts for us collectors all the time. Pictures will always help also.

Several other knowledgeable collectors will add to the information and will be helpful also.

Hello Tommy,

What you have is a Model “94” that was manufactured in the year 1964.  There are no records of “where”, “when”, or “who” originally purchased it.

Bert
