Hey Guys,
Just a heads up if anyone is interested. You all know my passion is high condition 1894s. Well, several things all came up at same time at home (carpentar ant infestation, dying car, and renos), and am forced to sell a few of my favorites. So, if anyone is interested, I listed my real early 1894 RB FB CB 38-55 Sporting Rifle. 16,000 range serial. Very high condition, just a beautiful rifle. Even case color left on some of the screws. Been told by a couple fellows on here that gun could do $10-$12000 at one of the high end auction sites, but was not interested in going that route. Here is a link if anyone has interest, just an amazing early 1894. Just listed it last night. These early high condition 1894s are getting very difficult to find:

Very nice, I’m sorry that you’re forced to sell such a wonderful rifle. Hope the auction goes well for you.

Curious about the difference in shipping antiques vs. modern guns from Canada into the USA.
A modern Winchester has to go through an importer and be marked before it can be sent to you or your local FFL. The cost is typically $300 – $500. An “Antique” is not a “firearm” per U.S. Federal law, and it can therefore be shipped directly to you without interference. This one of the reasons that the “antique” status of a Winchester adds value to the gun in question.
