I misspoke–the Black Hills model was supposed to be .45-60 only. However, in those days, catalog options were too numerous to count–almost any combination of features a customer could dream up.
If those dimentions are accurate, it could be one of many .45-70 variations. The reason I asked what caliber it was, is because the ammo in the cartrdge belt appears to be too long to be any of the 1876 Winchester calibers. Just wondering if those cartridges might be for the Remington. This is all just a guess.
