I wonder. I’d rather buy whatever he’s been smoking.

Collectors Auctions is always very optimistic in their estimates and always very short on photos.

I feel like I’m missing something. Maybe it’s the ultra rare 32 WCF chambering in an 1894.

Bill-

Seller may be a bit confused. I saw the 32WS sight but missed the shotgun butt in the description. May also be selling an 1892 in 32WCF W/ shotgun butt. Looks like someone is interested in it, wonder how far up he’ll bid. Long way to go to what seller seems to be expecting.

Wouldn’t trust his description of finish when he’s bungled caliber & BP.  Looks like there might be cold blue on right side of rcvr, but can’t really tell from badly lit photo.

Clarence-

IMHO he’s a bit optimistic on his description of the finish as well. All in all it’s a nice enough rifle but the expected price may discourage many buyers from bothering to bid.

I looked at this again.  They do not list an auction estimate.  Rather they simply include a screen shot from the Blue Book.  They are not actually rendering an opinion of the value, just including information from a current pricing guide.  They are suggesting the condition is between 70% to 80%.  Given the marginal photos, I can’t say it is, or isn’t
