Hey everyone I have a chance to pick up this Winchester 1895 .30 Army. It is a .30 Krag. The year 1927 I believe. I can pick this interesting rifle up for about 2K. Can I get any thoughts on this. Does anything stick out in the photos that would tell the experts here, that something does not seem right or is this a jump on it right away situation. I have never seen one of these before but it seems like a beauty. The bore is very nice and the action is very smooth. Stock is not cracked anywhere.

There is nothing that I can see wrong with that Model 95 SRC.. it has its original factory finish, and it is in very good condition.

I’d say it’s a good honest gun and I’d “jump on it” at $2000.00

Guys thanks for the input. I have been researching all morning as well and I think this will be a welcome addition to the family.
If you acquire it, do yourself a favor and get the 1895 book, it’s a great information source.

Interesting carbine with condition and a more than fair price; I’m no expert but in your shoes I’d be $2000 poorer and showing this one off under “What’s New?”.

Yes I will be picking this up in the next day or so. I have the Winchester book for now. That has some very good information. Sounds good I will post under whats new when I take some nice photos. Thanks guys I’m excited. God I love new toys!!!
