Got an 1894 mfg 1906 in .32 .40 with 26″ round barrel. Wondering if anyone knows how many were built that year? Thanks.
Hello,
There was a total of 40189 rifles (in all calibers and configurations) manufactured that year.

Thanks Michael. I was hoping to fond out how many in this particular configuration were made. I know Bert was cataloging 94s a couple of yrs ago.
From the ARMAX survey we know that from the introduction of the 1894 until mid 1907 11.3% (40,026) of the guns were 32-40 caliber. We also know that 78.2% (276,780) were sporting rifles. If the 1894’s follow what I have seen in the 1892’s about 25% of the sporting rifles were round barreled. I will let you manipulate those numbers and draw your own conclusion as to what portion of the annual production might fill your search need.

Bert, where can I find the results of your survey? Are they published anywhere?
Randy,
As I mentioned, currently there are no surveys with the detailed level of information you inquired about. The surveys I have in progress cover serial numbers 354000 – 2600011 (those for which there are no warehouse ledger records). I have published a number of my survey results in the WACA Collector magazine. If you are a WACA member, you can access those magazines online. I have also posted snippets and pieces of my surveys here on the forum, but due to the sheer physical size of my Excel spreadsheet survey documents, it is not feasible to post the entire survey in a topic post. For any WACA member in good standing, I have and will share an e-copy via email.
