Bert, there is no saddle ring, and the barrel is 19 inches.
It’s a shame that someone treat a nice carbine like this.
The same fellow has the 94 rifle that I asked about being a 94 trapper, someone cut the barrel off, this fellow didn’t do of this
He inherited them.
Thanks Again
Bill

Bill,
Actually, there was a saddle ring, but it has been ground down to almost nothing. Can you post pictures showing the pistol grip cap, and the butt plate. I am trying to determine how much of the gun is factory original.
Thanks,

Bert what will be the correct front sight for this 94 carbine
Thanks
Bill
Bill,
It should have the same sight that 99%+ of the standard Model 1894 SRCs have. A small rectangular steel block pinned and silver soldered to the barrel, with a pinned blade.

bert,
you know what i need, it’s the blade in the front sight. mine was lost and i can’t find one. i have a early trapper and a gunsmith made a brass one that isn’t too realistic. this makes it look like it has a cut brl. and it does not. it’s a 1913 production. can you get me the correct blade?
i live in az..
thank you

Milton,
The blade height was specific to the caliber. Your best bet is to watch the listings on ebay, as one will eventually be listed for sale. Your other option is to haunt some of the bigger gun shows in your area. There are usually at least 2 –3 vendors with bins & boxes full of parts.
