OnlineIt might depending on the caliber. The 73 has different barrel sizes and mag tube sizes depending on caliber and I assume they used the same tendon to attach it to the barrel.

OnlineA 32 caliber cap on a 73 has a mag tube diameter of .530″ and distance across the flats of .8″. Now barrels do have a size tolerance when the flats are finished so you have to make sure the cap you find fits the barrel.
