Louis,  Your take on the Super Grades is spot on!  It is hard to find a very nice .30’06 Super Grade!  They pretty much morphed into something else!  My favorite style Model 70 are the Super Grades Winchester started making in 1955.  With the rust blued barrels, and the jeweled bolt, and follower.  I find them very attractive.  Also, they are harder to “Custom Fabricate”. 🤪
