So this rifle went for near $10,000 on GB. It looks reblued to me with rust blue on the receiver rather that Dulite dipped blue that would be correct. Anyone have opinions on the originality of this rifle?

The seller has been in more than one discussion on here about the originality of his guns. The whole gun looks refinished to me. I am sure you will get more feed back from more of the members.

Receiver appears to be polished from top to bottom, instead of end to end like it should be. Just my 2 cents worth.

We just very recently discussed this rifle here on the WACA forum, and the fact that it has been refinished.

It’s my opinion that the fellow that bought it has money to burn and simply wanted a refinished gun with these features very much.  At least, I hope that’s the case.

It was a newbie bidder on Gunbroker with zero feedback.  I hope I’m wrong, but it’s my hunch this buyer got unknowingly duped.  Another shady Gunbroker seller advertising many refinished guns as factory original.
