Anyone care to comment on this gun. It is on today. I am not including the name or number. This is NOT a test, just an observation exercise. From the obvious to the not-so-obvious.

Have fun.

Bob,

WOW! I can’t to bid. I am not a ’94 expert, but I have a few oddballs. This looks to me someway ruined a extra lightweight rifle.

Yep, a lot of wood swapping and mismatched barrels, etc. showing up on GB.

After looking at this seller’s listed guns I don’t think I’d even consider dealing with him….

Is this the same seller who has the set-trigger .25-35?  If so, did someone drill/enlarge the finger lever pin hole?  What else is amiss with this double triggered rifle?

I am looking for ’94 rifles with double triggers.  This one looked promising until I saw the hole, the buggered screws, the fore stock/receiver fit.

Is the correct term for these triggers “close coupled”?

Yes, they were referred to as close-coupled set triggers.

Mark,

I don’t like the lower tang fit to the receiver on the right hand side.

Thank you, Bert and Bob.  Always more to learn from the people here.

(Though, not “Mark”–I’m either incorrectly reading the flow of the thread, or you two fellows have Marked me with a different name than the one I’ve been using for 60 years.)

That hole has been enlarged.  There is also an extra hole on the left side of the receiver with a filler screw.

Well if anyone has questions on the gun feel free to send me a question.  I am a WACA member and would be happy to answer any questions, I dont really like to see people make a broad statement like I would want to deal with that guy without ever even speaking to them….not exactly the spirit I usually see on here guys.  I would direct you to the feedback that actual purchasers have made on Gunbroker with excellent feedback on all purchases.

I understand that you wouldnt want the defects on your guns exposed, but thankfully this WACA site is for the Hobbyists , enthusiasts, and Collectors, rather than profiteers. I appreciate my lessons exposed here , and has made me a more cautions , and informed buyer.(more than I have learned thru a lifetime of Collecting, and being quite green at the beginning) The internet has greatly improved the prospects for success for the newby

The experts here dedicate their own research for the benifit of all WACA

Gunbroker is certainly a scam infested site that has burned many.I know the ratings are useless as when you give negative comments, your own rating will be downgraded each time

Thanks to the knowledgeable experts that do comment , many of the best have contributed to this thread

I don’t care if you’re a WACA member or not. That means nothing. My comment about not dealing with you came about from years of experience and some expensive lessons learned. I looked at your listings, found several issues on different guns which prompted my post. There’s a seller on GB with almost perfect feedback who’s been selling bad guns for years and continues to do so. 25-20 nailed it about the feedback issue…
