Tony,
While I do not know for sure which model is more prevalent, I suspect that it was the Model 1892. Michael Puzio has been surveying that model and can undoubtedly provide some information in that regard.
I have a survey covering the Model 1894 DCP marked Carbines. Of the purported 5,000 that were sold to the British, I have documented just (49) of them thus far (all in the 720,000 – 751,000 serial range).

Tony, Alan David in Sydney was gathering data on them but his email account is inactive and he has not responded in 7 months to my last post here:
I have one of your old DCP SRCs too, the nice one! Did you see the SRC on Ozguns yesterday? The seller had no idea that it was DCP marked. I sent it to Michael for his survey.

Good morning Tony,
Rick Hill wrote an article in the Spring 2014 issue of the WACA magazine regarding the DCP marked rifles. As I recall, there were 12,000 Model 1892’s and 5,000 Model 1894 rifles. To data I have cataloged 132 Model 1892 rifles with the DCP proof stamp. The rifles fall in the SN 708355 to 791503 range.

I too have been unable to contact Alan. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that something bad has transpired with him. Both Michael and I used to share survey information with him regularly.
