Finally my Social Security check got here so I sent the $$$ to Cody for a letter on M1894 SRC # 184737. Nothing special about the rifle that has been family owned since 1903. It came is a nice leather scabbard with the owners brand and initials on it. He owned a big sheep ranch. The stock has his initials as well as his Sons and also the brand. Does not detract from the carbine in any way. The last owner was 97 years old and decided to sell some of the family guns to pay medical expenses. Not a bad carbine for 113 years old. Very early carbine and has no proofs. It’s a 30WCF. No pics. It just does not work for me. Maybe someday. Big Larry
Big Larry,
Make sure you get the history documented and notarized before they are gone. It adds a lot to the guns value in the future.
