There are some 73’s that show up with “Inside Finish” on the letter but I haven’t seen one in person. I would imagine that the inside of the gun was given extra care to polish it before finishing the gun.

Makes sense even though seems an odd option.
Unrelated; I understand that Bass Pro is to purchase Cabela’s for $5.5B? I wonder what if any impact that will have on their Old Winchester inventory? I doubt I would ever purchase an old Winchester from either company, however I did enjoying checking out the local Cabela’s Winchesters from time to time.
