I had the idea that those close-coupled triggers might be better utilized (and not such a terrifying sight) on a non-Bubba-ed rifle.
I suspect that the lower tang and parts, as well as, the hammer would need to be swapped from one Winchester to the other. Is that correct? And is it a sane option if overlooking the aspect of purity of parts to serial number?
The problem you may run into is the tang was shaped and buffed while it was in the frame so the surfaces match, then when you swap a tang they may look out of place. This is one thing I look at when buying a gun to see if the tang had been swapped.
