I bought a nice Pre-War carbine at a gun show in December. Today at another gun show I found an equally nice condition carbine in 22 Hornet. It also has a real nice stick of wood on it…

Hi Shrapnel-

What a pretty little gun!!!  .22 HORNET is the one pre-war carbine chambering I don’t have.  I don’t have a .35 REM either but doubt any were actually made pre-war.  That one looks real nice.

Congrats, Lou

Some guys have all the luck!  Please don’t tell me you paid $600 for it.  That might just be enough to push me over the edge 😉

Looks really nice, Shrapnel.  Congrats!

Beautiful in every aspect, but the wood sends it over the top…..

Good thing I don’t see things like that around my shows,

or I would have a lot of explaining!

That is a very handsome Winchester. It could be the centerpiece of any collection. The top carbine ain’t too shabby either. Very nice.

The same guy has a pre-war carbine in 270, but not nearly as nice as these 2. I may have to see if I can trade my 270 rifle on the carbine…

Congrats! There’s something about a walnut stock with good figure and contrast. I figure that one has accounted for a lot of smiles over the years.
