Hello,

It’s me again.   The purveyor of bad news.  This rifle was auctioned at Poulin back in March of 2015 as Lot #3417.  At the time it had a left side mounted peep sight on the receiver.  It then showed up at Leroy Merz with the peep removed and the holes filled in.  It is now being auctioned at RIA with no mention or detail photos of the filled holes.  Be careful!!!  Current Listing:  https://www.proxibid.com/Firearms-Military-Artifacts/Firearms/Winchester-Deluxe-Model-1892-Lever-Action-Takedown-Rifle/lotInformation/45732798

Gee!!! I can hardly see where the holes were filled.  Ha-ha.

You can even see in the bluing where the block of the sight was.
