A .405 WCF and .30 rimless coming up for auction - and I don't think the Winchester name helps

I’ve not seen this belt before but it is made by Mills and the buckle by Winchester.  They had a close relationship and you see the Mills add on a lot of the early ammo boxes.  I’ll see if this belt is shown in my Mills catalog.

I looked in the catalog and it is not listed but I realized that this catalog is for all the Military belts.  Blake, like Winchester would order their belts from Mills directly.

I’m somewhat confused. Did Blake use Model 95 barrels to make up these rifles? Or did Blake (or someone else for that matter) mark them up as having been made by Winchester?
A interesting rifle design indeed, but you can see why it was not very popular.
Sincerely,
Maverick

I’ve researched Blake rifles over the last many years.  I’ve never heard of them using Winchester barrels.  My best guess is someone has simply added the Winchester engraving.  The rifles could be rebarreled as well.  I’m curious if the .30-40 barrel is still chambered in the .30 Blake (which is a .30-40 rimless) or if it is now a .30-40 Krag.
I don’t recall the Blake ever being chambered in the .405 WCF.

I can’t help but wonder if the Winchester name engraved on the barrels is a hint. Perhaps Blake bought some components from Winchester or maybe these rifles were made in an attempt to sell the rifle to Winchester. Any provenance from the consignor would certainly be interesting.
