Your friend has a [color=blue:fc83b8544d]U.S. Repeating Arms Company[/color:fc83b8544d] (USRACo) manufactured Model 70 versus a "[color=red:fc83b8544d]WINCHESTER[/color:fc83b8544d]" Model 70.
According to the information listed by the Winchester division of the Browning Arms Company, serial number G1678700 was manufactured in the year 1984.

No, I do not know how many were made. That fact that it is not a true Winchester wanes my interest as well as most of the Model 70 collectors that I am acquainted with.
