Is the Cleveland show the old Erie PA show? Has anyone gone to the Cleveland show and if so how was it?Thanks, Greg
The Cleveland show is put on by the Ohio Gun Collectors(closed show for members only) and they invite the Winchester Collectors to set up at this show in the fall(October). Alot of the Ohio Gun Collectors are also members of the Winchester Collectors including myself and thought it would be a great opportunity to feature the W.A.C.A. and draw up some support for the organization and also see some of their wonderful displays. The show had a good attendance from the WACA but I wouldn’t call it great. I would expect it to keep growing though and hopefully it will become in the coming years the best WACA show in the East. Also: The facility at the IX center(Cleveland Airport) is the best place to have a gun show that I have seen. Plenty of parking-set up to drive right into the facility and unload your guns for display or sales and very wide aisles so you have plenty of room to move.
I’ve seen many outstanding displays at our OGCA shows over the years.
The Winchester displays (WACA, Cody, Firearms Engravers Guild, etc.) are the equals of anything I’ve seen, anywhere.
The Cleveland show was worth attending, if only to see the Winchester-related displays.
Here’s hoping 2014 will be even better-attended.
