I’ve never seen these configurations in these calibers before. Do they look legit? If so, they must be fairly rare.

The Model 94 Transitional Carbine is perfectly legitimate, and it was one of the last 38-55 Carbines made before Winchester discontinued the 32-40 and 38-55 cartridges in the Model 94. Per the serial number, it went through the PR in early December 1937. Winchester officially discontinued the 32-40 and 38-55 in January of 1938.

Very nice pre-war but not a true transitional. It does not have the SRC buttstock. I would like to see the type of steel listed in the marking. The 92 is one of the few with a sight hood but I’ve never noticed that type hammer on a 92 before – I’ll leave that for someone else’s book.
