The model 94 hybrid I showed you guys and we talked about a couple months ago. Disappeared from my grasp today.
I got a call from the friend that was holding the rifle (and other firearms in the estate) for the family. Well the oldest son showed up from AZ and decided I didn’t know what I was talking about as to the value of the various guns. He’s decided to take them to a UPS store to then ship them to some friend of his in AZ (where he lives) to find out if any of them are worth real money.
I won’t go into the legal troubles he’s going to have shipping 3 handguns via UPS without involving any FFL’s or that to ship the whole mess legally would cost a small fortune.
At any rate he wouldn’t even consider my offer. Since he doesn’t have any info about the rifle being a Hybrid 94/95 I would bet cash money who ever his gun buddy is won’t either. I am curious what the buddy will think about my $1000.00 offer on what he will most likely see as a $400-500.00 model 94.
OH well nothing ventured past an afternoon checking out some guns and helping a friend out.
I really hope the rifle somehow ends up with a collector and not the back window rack of a beater pickup bouncing around the desert in AZ.
I tried.
That really sucks. Greed is an ugly thing and you see it all the time in some families when there is a death. People who previously had ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST in their relatives possessions when they were living all of a sudden develop a great sentimental attachment to them and have to have them. At least long enough to sell them.
