I went with the date and originality over finish.
My kind of gun.
I will, however, need to get a Lyman No. 2 in order to get any accuracy.

Nothing wrong with that rifle at all. I have a few like it that I use to hunt hogs with on my ranch here in Texas. Best part. I can lay them down and not have to worry much about harming them like my really nice rifles. Enjoy it and have fun.

We have no serial number on it to see if it is a "transitional". Sure looks like one. I have a 99%er in my collection # 1100457, PR dated 1-25-1936. Has the 22-E rear sight with the 1927 date. Also, has a mag. tube from an earlier SRC from the factory. One of the nicest carbines I own. Big Larry
