Not very many posts on this excellent forum! I collect Colts, S&W’s, Lugers and P-38’s as well. Those forums have many, many new posts daily. Winchester is the most popular rifle on earth! Why so few posts here? Is there another big forum I don’t know about?

It because Winchesters are such great guns that nobody has much to complain about and are too busy shooting. 😀

That and the Colt forum has been online since the Year 2000.

And if I recall correctly this forum in its current form has only been online since 2008.

There are plenty of daily posts with the regular odd ball questions here or there. You will notice also lots of posts are read by members with not many posting there thoughts. Usually because someone else usually answers there query and its well agreed upon by others. But when there is something that is not agreed upon, you will see plenty of posts about it. As it should be.

Also this forum isn’t sponsored by outside advertising, that is why there are no ad banners everywhere telling you what to buy. Its sponsored by its paying member base. Which in my opinion makes it a much nicer forum to hold intelligent conversations. You don’t have every Joe Blow asking about why they cant figure out how to load there gun. Or why they shot themselves in the foot. Or what makes the round doohickey go into the square doohickey, and etc.

In my opinion… if you have to ask a forum on how to load or operate a firearm…. you shouldn’t own a firearm. If you load a firearm aim it at your foot depress the trigger… you deserve the outcome. In terms of round and square doohickeys (well put by the way) maybe you should familliarize yourself with the firearm before going to the range and shooting yourself in the foot

County sheriffs, gun clubs, ATF offices, game commission. They all can give info on gun operation / saftey classes
