Two more antiqued shipping crates on Gunbroker:

The cut nails on the box of the second one look much older than the rifle. The markings on the end of the box look pretty unusual too.
Same seller for both items. He is just using two different user name accounts (which is suspicious in of itself). Jamestown, CA and Sonora, CA are just 3.6 miles apart.
This is the auction for the second crated gun;

Notice the 1890 and the 94 have same old crappy barn wood siding wood that was used on the others guns that we have discussed in the past.
That recent auction with the 94 that Bert posted has the worst box I’ve seen yet. Looks like a toddler with a sharpie drew the lettering on the box.
It looks like to me that these are more of a display box than a shipping box.
If it were a "Winchester" display box it would be even nicer than a shipping box and wouldn’t be made of barn wood and wouldn’t look like it was nailed together by goofy.
