When did Winchester stop the rust blued finish on the pre 64 Model 70’s? When di they go to a higher gloss finish?

The only parts that were ever rust blued on the pre 64 70’s were the barrels and some of the bolt parts. The receivers were never rust blued. Winchester stopped rust bluing barrels etc after WW II. However it was reinstated for the Super Grade barrels in the mid 50’s. Hope that helps…
