Which one didn’t get a deer? My bet is the guy with the 92 Laugh
It’s nice to see some of these old photos. LeRoy had a couple on his web page showing hunters with 1894’s and I tried to get them but, they could never find them and after several tries, they were removed from his site.

Please take notice that this was back in the day when you didn’t go into the woods without being properly dressed. The two gentlemen on the left are sporting ties. No scopes, please.
I picked up a number of these old photographs at a country auction. I’m in the process of studying them. I seem to do better studying old photos then old Winchesters. Embarassed I’ll post some more of them if it’s permissible on the site. There are a number of Winchesters in them.
Michael, I picked up a bottle of the Rocca Riserva 2008 but haven’t uncorked it yet. Like it says on the label I’ll have to do some meditation with it, although I usually do that in Irish, not Italian.

I hope you get around to posting more pictures Gene.

Here’s one I wasn’t sure about sharing but I guess nobody in it is going to mind. This is sometime mid 1930s. Like the one above almost all Winchesters except the Remington 14. I’m thinking the one other gun must be a Model ’05, ’07 or ’10. Kinda interesting to see the blue worn off some of the receivers back then…maybe 1920s guns.

This was a special year for them to get together for a pic. I understand the pole is short a couple of deer on the far left and maybe a few hunters too. No snow that year…global warming. One Grandfather and three of his brothers in there. They probably had one single shot Chicago hardware store 12 gauge between the four of them at that time. The other guys in the picture likely showed them how they hunted. They went on to buy a few 1894s and 1886s of their own not long after that.
