So, who here would letter an 1873 made in 1881 even though it has been refinished? Really just looking to know if it letters with the set trigger.

The rifle has been refinished so the collector value is dramatically reduced. If you are trying to sell the rifle and some one values the set trigger feature then it may be worthwhile proving it is original to the gun. There is always the possibility that the gun was originally different beyond just the trigger than what you are holding. Getting a letter is the only way to know.
