In order to facilitate a detailed update of my last edition – I am in need of a finely detailed photo of the 80s period "deluxe" inscription on the right rear of the barrel on some Model 94s. I only remember it vaguely, and think I have only seen it one time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. No, I have no idea of a publication timeline or even IF there will be another publication. I’m trying to keep my facts current so 40 years from now someone who has never even seen a Model 94 doesn’t deride my accuracy, which seems to be a trend lately.
Thanks Again,
Bob

Are you really going to worry about what someone says 40 years from now? Laugh

Actually, and of course, I’m not going to worry about it personally, but I’d rather have the facts still be correct – at least correct as to the known facts at the time of writing and not disparaged by some "modern" discovery.

BOBR94: IMHO You got it close enough the first time no need to
facilitate? it would just be a waste of time. Spend your time on something
new You got things close enough the first time and even though the new
information is interesting it just does not change the way in which I collect
The Model 1894’s. I feel and strongly advise anyone in the desire of collecting Winchester’s That IF You Want Things In Black And White
stick with guns that will letter and duplicate the letter then convince yourself
it’s all original. I feel sorry for the poor fellow who 50 years from now
undertakes the adventure of writing the story on the then collectable AR 15
and survey all the serial numbers. Anyway bring us something new if
you feel the need to write as you have a great talent for writing if time
allows for such

Close enough counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.
The Winchester Book was re-issued 8 times with added information. I think that the same thing would apply to Bob’s book. Since there is more accurate data out there, make it available in a third edition.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Paul
